Certificate II - Advanced Diploma of Hospitality

This Pre-Vocational Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) resource is aligned to units of competency from the Tourism, Hospitality and Events Training Package specifically to Certificate II - Advanced Diploma of Hospitality. It provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of activities and functions requiring basic operational knowledge and limited practical skills in a defined context. Work would be undertaken in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops. Individuals may work with some autonomy or in a team but usually under close supervision. This resource is for people employed as trainees in the hospitality industry or people who want to work at the operative level in a range of hospitality establishments, you will learn about the hospitality industry and will develop your customer service and communication skills, along with a wide range of skills relevant to food and beverage service, accommodation services or other hospitality services. You will learn how to plan and control a range of hospitality products, control stock, promote goods and services to customers, maintain premises and outlets, maintain business compliance within legislative requirements, develop and manage financial budgets and develop operational plans. You will also learn how to lead, supervise and manage a team of people.
