This Pre-Vocational Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) resource is aligned to units of competency from the Property Services Training Package specifically to Certificate II in Security Operations. It aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to provide security services including crowd control and security guarding. The content includes legislation relevant to the industry, communication skills, customer service, teamwork, basic first aid, managing intoxicated persons, reporting security incidents, occupational safety and health, basic self defence and emergency procedures. This course is for people/learners pursuing a career as a static/mobile guard, crowd controller or loss prevention officer. The course is an entry level Asset Security Training Package qualification. You will develop competencies in communicating and working effectively in the security industry, responding to security risk situations. You will also learn about workplace safety, teamwork, customer service and first aid.
