Appeals
A participant enrolled in a course who is seeking to appeal against an academic decision or other procedural matter should undertake the following steps:
- In the first instance an informal approach is to be made to the course facilitator with any new evidence or clarification of existing evidence
- Assessment will be reviewed having due regard to submissions made by the participant. Where the participant is still dissatisfied with the decision a request is to be made to MW Training Consultants Pty Ltd in writing, for an independent facilitator who has not been involved in the original decision, to review the decision. Students can utilise another person to write or speak for them in the appeal process and all decisions will be provided in writing to the student.
Academic appeals will be accepted from the date an assessment result was received.
An appeal, if not resolved, must be lodged in writing no later than (14) days from the date of issuance. All complaints must be lodged in writing and addressed to: The Manager, MW Training Consultants P.O. Box 71, Scarborough, Qld 4020.
Results of the appeal will be provided in writing to the appellant.
Where a student feels they cannot approach the training organisation they may contact the Department of Education Training (DET) on 1300 369 935.
