'As an organisation (Rope) whose objective is to provide Day Service activities that enable people with intellectual disabilities, ages from 18-65, we need to provide formal quality training for both our professional staff and our clients with intellectual disabilities, so each can continue to develop relevant skills and reach their potential.

Patience and understanding, combined with professionalism are important and necessary qualities for our staff, and professional trainers who work with us.  MW Training staff listen to our specific needs and ensure appropriate information and guidance is available for our clients who have various intellectual disabilities often complicated by other physical disabilities too.

I only went to year 8 at school and was worried I wouldn’t be able to understand the work. I was scared but wanted to give the course a go so I would feel I had at least tried.

I surprised myself and with the support of the trainers achieved more than I thought possible. I now have greater confidence in myself and am very proud of the study I have done. I have now progressed to undertake a National Qualification in Retail.

I have been very happy about everything. I have found MW Training to give outstanding customer service with the staff being very professional but very friendly. I enjoy the small personal training setting and there is always a lot of trainer assistance. I particularly enjoyed the Pre-vocational course in Business which I found challenging but rewarding.

I was pleased that career planning was provided as part of the enrolment process and I was supported in choosing the courses I needed for my career. I completed Work Experience as part of my Applied Communication Skills course and found it interesting and feel it will be very beneficial to me professionally. The course resources were very good as well as the trainers and I am planning to study once again with the company.

I found the setting at MW Training to be very personal and supportive. The staff are caring and encouraging and work closely with all the students. I prefer to study in small classes and at my own pace and found the IT course resources user friendly. I have been inspired to be a trainer and now am undertaking the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

MW Training is a very social and relaxed training environment. The trainers were friendly and informative and always on hand to support my learning. I enjoyed the shared morning teas students had with the trainers. Someone was always bringing along great food to share. MW is a fun and great place to study.
