The new standards for RTOs in 2025 require RTOs to pre-validate all assessment tools before they are used with students. This includes pre-enrolment assessments for existing skills, competencies, and language, literacy, numeracy (LLN), and digital literacy/capability. RTOs must ensure that these assessments are conducted at the pre-enrolment stage, providing students with all relevant information to make informed decisions about the suitability of the training product for them.
