Course Description
This qualification is designed for individuals who require significant foundation skills support to access a vocational learning pathway. The qualification is suitable for individuals who require:- a prevocational pathway to employment and vocational training
- reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 1
- entry level digital technology and employability skills.
Volume of learning is typically 0.5 – 1 year. There may be variations between short learning duration, specialist qualifications that build on knowledge and skills already acquired, and longer duration qualifications that are designed as entry level requirements for work

The enrolment form requires independent reading, numeracy and writing responses
To achieve a Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways must complete 11 units.
These units include:
- One core unit, and
- ten elective units. ( up to 3 from Group A; 5 from Group B; 2 from FSK or other accredited course; remainder from FSK)
